Terms & Conditions

Welcome
These Terms & Conditions apply to all work carried out by A2B Plastering & Building Services. By accepting a quotation or booking our services, you agree to the following terms.

Quotations
All quotations are provided free of charge.
Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
Any additional work requested after the quote has been accepted will be discussed and agreed with customer before it's carried out.

Payments
Payment is due upon completion of the agreed works unless an alternative payment schedule has been agreed in writing. For larger projects, staged payments may be required. Where payment is overdue, A2B Plastering & Building Services reserves the right to pursue recovery of the outstanding balance and any interest or reasonable recovery costs permitted by law

Customer Responsibilities
The customer agrees to:
Provide safe and reasonable access to the property.
Ensure electricity and water are available where required.
Remove or protect valuable items where possible before work begins.

Existing surfaces/Hidden issues

Existing walls, ceilings and other surfaces may contain defects or conditions that are not reasonably visible before work begins. This may include loose plaster, damaged backgrounds, damp, movement, previous defective repairs or unsuitable existing materials. Where such conditions affect the agreed works, the customer will be informed and any additional work or costs will be discussed before proceeding where reasonably possible.

Scope of Work

The quotation covers only the works specifically described in the quotation. Any work, materials or preparation not included in the quotation will be treated as additional work and discussed with the customer before being carried out wherever reasonably possible.

Workmanship
A2B Plastering & Building Services will carry out all agreed works with reasonable care and skill using appropriate materials and techniques.

If you have any concerns about the completed works, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible so that we can inspect the work and, where appropriate, resolve the issue.

Delays
We are not responsible for delays caused by:
Adverse weather
Material shortages
Supplier delays
Circumstances beyond our reasonable control

Cancellations
If the customer needs to cancel or rearrange agreed works, they should provide as much notice as reasonably possible and, where possible, at least 72 hours' notice.

If the customer cancels after materials have been purchased or after A2B Plastering & Building Services has incurred reasonable costs specifically for the agreed works, we may seek to recover those reasonable costs where legally permitted.

Any cancellation charge will be proportionate to the actual costs or losses reasonably incurred by A2B Plastering & Building Services. Any payments already made will be dealt with fairly and in accordance with the customer's legal rights.
If A2B Plastering & Building Services needs to cancel due to circumstances outside our reasonable control, we will provide reasonable notice where possible and deal with any payments fairly.

Liability
A2B Plastering & Building Services will not be responsible for defects or damage that were already present before work commenced, or for issues caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, provided that such circumstances were not caused by our negligence or failure to carry out the agreed works with reasonable care and skill

Complaints & Disputes

If the customer has any concerns regarding the works or invoice, they should contact A2B Plastering & Building Services as soon as reasonably possible so that the matter can be discussed and, where appropriate, resolved. Customers are encouraged to give A2B a reasonable opportunity to inspect and rectify any genuine workmanship issue before arranging for another contractor to carry out remedial work, where reasonably practicable.

 

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects any legal rights or protections that the customer has under applicable law.
